Cairn Terrier

Cairn Terrier

The Cairn Terrier is one of the oldest terrier breeds, originally from the Scottish Highlands where they worked to flush foxes and other vermin from the stone cairns (rock piles) scattered across the landscape. Famous as the inspiration for Toto in The Wizard of Oz, they are hardy, active, and spirited little dogs. Cairns are smart, curious, and make wonderful family companions.
